On Thursday 3rd September, we opened the Brecon Carreg gates and factory doors to our nearest and dearest neighbours for an evening of fun and food.
Following successful events including a crafting workshop and bouncy castle at Trapp Agricultural Show and a family blogger event in Cardiff we wanted to show our appreciation and host our neighbours and their families here at Brecon House.
Having supplied bottled water throughout Wales and the UK for over 35 years from Trapp, we wanted to thank our guests for their support by welcoming them to site to find out more about what we do at Brecon Carreg.
Overwhelmed by over 200 RSVP responses, our team were on hand to meet and speak with residents about all things Brecon Carreg. Not only was there a complimentary hog roast to enjoy but Owens, our lorry supplier, kindly brought a lorry cab to site for the children and those young at heart to enjoy sitting in. Those over 16 were able to take part in factory tours and see how our water makes it from source to bottle thanks to production manager Jeff and his team.
If that wasn’t enough, over 40 children enjoyed taking part in a crafting workshop with our expert Amy from Science Burp. Monsters of all colours were created with recycled and decorated used water bottles that the kids had loads of fun painting and sticking accessories on – we even had a couple of minions!
Despite a threatening weather forecast, the bad weather held off for us and it was lovely to engage with local residents and hear their thoughts about our production site. We endeavour to operate a transparent company and value any thoughts, comments and ideas our customers and neighbours have. We look forward to getting to know our residents more at future events.
