This year Brecon Carreg took part in the annual Agricultural Show, held in the factory’s home town of Trapp in Carmarthenshire. The team hosted a fun craft stall using recycled Brecon Carreg water bottles, and organised a bouncy castle for children to enjoy.
As a rural business operating in Trapp and the surrounding areas, the agricultural show was a great opportunity for Brecon Carreg to get involved with the local community, and to engage with residents. It was also a chance to communicate the importance of recycling, and to encourage children to have fun and get creative using empty plastic bottles.
Despite a threatening black cloud while setting up on Saturday morning, the weather held out for the show, and temperatures were on the rise by early afternoon.
The bouncy castle turned out to be a popular destination for children at the event, and Brecon Carreg team were on hand to provide vital refreshment with the new children’s bottles to those in need of hydration, after some serious bouncing.
The craft stall was popular with all ages, as the little ones came forward to make their own monsters from recycled plastic bottles. Brecon Carreg’s craft expert, Amy from Science Burp, was on hand to offer creative advice on how to make the scariest and most brightly coloured plastic monsters.
The day was a great success enjoyed by all and a fantastic opportunity for the team at Brecon Carreg to help celebrate a local and popular tradition.
