Following the success of last year, we packed up our bottles and headed to the annual Trap Agricultural Show, just 5 minutes from Brecon Cottage to get crafty with the local children (and some parents).
With a little help from our friends at Green City Events, we showed children how to recycle our empty bottles and get crafty at the same time. Children of all ages came to visit the creative corner and made everything from flowers to butterflies and spiders.
This year we even had a giant colouring in wall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Trap Agricultural Show. Pupils from Ffairfach School created some wonderful illustrations that we transformed into a colouring wall to celebrate all things Trap; from beautiful houses to tractors and cows! A big thanks and diolch to Ffairfach School and their art coordinator, Bronwyn Walters.
Lots of little ones coloured away and some pupils from the school even managed to point out their illustrations to us on the day. (Lovely to meet you and your brother, Alex!)
Once they’d exhausted their creative skills the bouncy castle was on hand for some extra fun plus lots of water to rehydrate afterwards.
Community events are a fantastic opportunity to have some fun and get to know one another. We’re grateful to work with the community and offer lots of fun events while teaching the importance of hydration and recycling. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year.
