Wales Air Ambulance is solely funded by the people of Wales and requires an incredible £6.5 million a year to keep its four helicopters in the sky to save lives across Wales.
Thanks to their four airbase operations in Caernarfon, Llanelli, Welshpool and Cardiff, they can be anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes. However, they rely entirely on the public’s support to operate the service, with each mission costing an average of £1,500.
#TeamBreconCarreg recently visited two of their bases to find out more about the charity and what they do. Take a look at what they’ve accomplished in March alone…
We are endlessly impressed by the life saving work that they do, which is why we created #TeamBreconCarreg to raise vital funds for them.
The team is formed by 20 runners across Wales. Together, and with our support, they’ll be training, supporting each other and raising huge amounts of money for Wales Air Ambulance. We’ll be tracking their miles in training and events and, for every mile that they run, we’ll be donating £1 to Wales Air Ambulance.
You can help too!
To raise even more funds for the charity, the team have set up their own fundraising page where you can donate and leave them a message of support.
