Brecon Carreg announce partnership with Active Leisure Events

We’re thrilled to announce that Brecon Carreg has signed to be the official water sponsor for Active Leisure Events in 2022.

The partnership will see Brecon Carreg water hydrating runners across a series of multi-award-winning events including the MBNA Chester 10K, the Essar Chester Half Marathon and MBNA Chester Marathon & Metric Marathon.

As well as fuelling runners at the events, there will also be a focus on environmental initiatives with every 330ml bottle provided to runners containing at least 51% recycled plastic.

We’ll also be introducing our popular Plogging Team to the events. Up to 10 runners at each race will complete the course whilst picking up recyclable materials on the route.

Bottled water remains the most effective and hygienic way to hydrate runners at our events. The advances Brecon Carreg have made in manufacturing bottles using recycled plastics, combined with their aim to stop using virgin materials altogether by 2025, means that their mineral water remains healthy for our runners and our planet. 

The Plogging team combined with our closed loop event recycling system, compliments our shared goals to help tackle the global challenge to reduce waste.
